weisz Vs. Stone

Ladies, Gents and Rabbits..... Let's get ready to ruuuuuuuumble!

It's the 18th century and England is at war with the French. Olivia Colman is the Queen of the throne and her close friend Lady Rachel Weisz (Sarah Churchill) governs the country in her stead while tending to Anne’s ill health and mercurial temper. That is until her charming cousin, Emma Stone (Abigail) enters the Queens life after her doting father gambled her away.

Forced to take Stone under her wing, Weisz starts to notice Stone becoming the Queens favourite as she starts to help the Majesty's gout pain using remedies such as herbs and spices, and rises from a servant to the Queen’s companion with her charm.

Feeling threatened by her own cousin, Weisz is desperate to get rid of her, and she knows shooting her in the chest. Luckily surviving the gun shot, Stone realises what her beloved cousin is up to and is desperate to live a high class life.

Stone will do anything to became the Queens favourite even if that means beating herself up with a book and blaming Weisz for the bruises is how far she will go.

No woman, No war, no man and certainly no rabbit is going to get in her way.

But jokes aside, this black comedy looks hilarious and it is a funny take on the 18th century, despite the wars, diseases, politics, propaganda etc. etc.

The Favourite will be available in the UK on the 1st January 2019
