MOTHERf- what?!

40 years after the original 'Halloween', Myers is back and wants revenge on the babysitter who kicked his butt!

I never expected there to be another 'Halloween' film, but as it's been nearly 40 years since the original, David Gordon Green has managed to write up a sequel. You can also thank Curtis' godson, the one and only Jake Gyllenhaal, as he persuaded Curtis into reprising her role.

Thanks Gyl, thanks.

In a recent interview, Curtis says that she estimates the “Halloween” sequel will be a worthy follow-up to the original. It operates as a straight sequel from the '78 film, ignoring the nine clusterfu-- bad films, thank god!

“We shed all of that other stuff and just went back to what made the original so great,” said Curtis. “John [Carpenter] didn’t write most of those films, so it was just all these new people making up stories. But with this one, we just literally cut the line. Whether or not people loved or hated those stories has no relevance to this movie.”

This “Halloween” picks up 40 years after the original. Strode is now a grandmother and is living in a fortress-like home - training and prepping herself for Michael's return, after being portrayed as the stereotypical “Damsel in Distress” Laurie is now a badass. I think it's going to be awesome seeing Michael Myers try to resume his reign of terror in the modern day world when he has to deal with fighter Laurie - why can't you just battle with an iPhone or do a better, less harmful hobby Michael!

But that's not to say that this is going to be an action movie and Curtis is going to say 'Yippee Ki Yay' at the end of the film - I'd be shocked if she did. Before Laurie and Michael finally clash, there will definitely be a substantial, gruesome body count along the way, and with that, Curtis will not only have to protect herself, but her family this time.

Here's a clip of Michael and Lauries reunion.

I kid, but heres the actual trailer for the sequel!

Halloween will be released in the UK on the 19 October 2018!
